James and I vacationed in Amsterdam in 2001. Here we found a little café that had seating down a flight of stairs, leading to a small ledge of tables right along the canal. We had just visited the Anne frank house which is across the bridge and further down. The day was beautiful with long clouds. I remembered this funny little boat with the Dutch flag. This painting captured that day.
